Βορειότερα βρίσκονται οι μαγευτικοί κολπίσκοι Τσίλαρο και Θαψά και Μετόχι (στα Θαψά η πρόσβαση είναι ευκολότερη με Jeep ή μέσω θαλάσσης), με ψιλό βότσαλο και τοπίο που θυμίζει εξωτικό τοπίο από ταινία.

Προς τα νότια θα συναντήσετε τις μεγάλες αμμουδερές παραλίες Στόμιο και Άγιος Γεώργιος Στομίου, και την δημοφιλή Μουρτερή, που αν και πολυσύχναστες, διατηρούν αναλλοίωτη την αιγαιοπελαγίτικη γοητεία τους.

The Beaches "Next to" Kymi

Soutsini
Soutsini Beach is located just over a kilometer north of Kymi's port. It is one of the most popular beaches in the area, with its sandy shoreline and the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean drawing visitors from near and far.

Soutsini offers a tranquil and natural atmosphere, perfect for those seeking peace and relaxation under the Greek sun. During the summer months, the beach bar operates, serving a variety of refreshing drinks and cocktails for visitors.

Limanaki Beach

Just 500 meters from the port of Kymi lies the picturesque Limanaki Beach. This small and charming sandy beach is loved by both young and old, as it offers a variety of water games and sports.

Here, visitors can enjoy various water sports and activities, providing a fun experience in the water.

Stomio Beach

While travelling on the national road from Chalkida the capital of Evia, about 6 kilometers south of Kymi's harbor, lies the picturesque and expansive Stomio Beach. Its captivating azure-green waters of the Aegean Sea paint a breathtaking panorama.

This beach is a beloved destination for tourists seeking swimming, leisure, and culinary delights, attracting thousands of visitors each summer. Further southward unfolds Agios Georgios Beach, succeeded by the renowned and boundless shores of Mourteri.

Η Μουρτερή

Η παραλία της Μουρτερής αποτελεί έναν από τους πιο εντυπωσιακούς προορισμούς της Εύβοιας, αποτελούμενος από τις παραλίες Άγιο Δημήτριο και Άγιο Μερκούριο, με τον γνωστό βράχο της “Κεφάλας” με την ιδιαίτερη χαρακτηριστική μορφή.

Ο κόσμος συχνά αναφέρεται σαν Μουρτερή και στις δύο παραλίες που χωρίζονται από ένα μικρό χερσαίο τμήμα.

Ανακαλύψτε τις απέραντες παραλίες μήκους 3,5 χιλιομέτρων, με όμορφα βότσαλα, κρυστάλλινα νερά και εκπληκτική θέα στο απέραντο γαλάζιο του Αιγαίου.

Στην παραλία της Μουρτερής, θα βρείτε καταλύματα, καφετέριες, εστιατόρια και φυσικά beach bars με ξαπλώστρες. Στον Άγιο Μερκούριο, υπάρχουν καντίνες που μπορούν να σας εξυπηρετήσουν, ενώ η ατμόσφαιρα είναι πιο ήρεμη.

Η παραλία γίνεται ιδιαίτερα δημοφιλής όταν πνέουν βόρειοι άνεμοι, ελκύοντας επίδοξους Kite και Wind σέρφερ για απολαυστικές στιγμές στο νερό.

Για εκείνους που αναζητούν ηρεμία και απομόνωση, κοντά στην Μουρτερή βρίσκονται και οι απομακρυσμένες παραλίες του Μπουρνιά με το ηφαιστειακό τοπίο με τις μεγάλες πέτρες, της απόμακρης Αϊλής που είναι δημοφιλής ψαρότοπος και της μαγικής παραλίας Καλάμι.

Η κρυφή παραλία του Καλαμιού είναι ένας κρυμμένος θησαυρός της φύσης. Ο ορεινός όγκος του βουνού της Οκτωνιάς αγκαλιάζει το Αιγαίο πέλαγος σε αυτό το μαγικό μέρος, με τα καταγάλανα και κρυστάλλινα νερά, το λεπτό βοτσαλάκι και τον επιβλητικό βράχο στην άκρη της παραλίας.

Escape to the remote exotic beaches of Kymi

Tsilaro Beach

Located north of Kymi, at a distance of 16 kilometers, through a unique route towards the village of Metochi with its wonderful beach and the famous beaches of Chiliadou, lies the enchanting beach of Tsilaro.

After a demanding descent along a dirt road through a unique landscape that combines greenery with rugged rocky terrain and the unique azure of the Aegean, you will find this picturesque beach with its pebbles and crystal-clear waters. The beach is beautiful and less crowded because most visitors prefer the exotic beach of Thapsa, which is located in a few kilometers distance.

Thapsa Beach

The exotic beach of Thapsa is considered a true paradise for sea and nature lovers, regarded as the gem of Kymi and all of Evia. Thapsa offers a unique combination of natural elements, where the dense greenery of the mountain meets the azure waters of the sea. The steep slope of the mountain creates a spectacular image, as the land almost plunges into the endless blue of the Aegean.

Visitors can enjoy swimming in the turquoise waters, lounge on the sandy beach, and relax under the sun. The beach also offers excellent conditions for snorkeling and swimming, as the seabed is stunning and filled with colorful fish.

Access to Thapsa Beach may be challenging, but this makes it even more magical and secluded. In addition to road access via Jeep, visitors can also reach the beach by tourist boat from the port of Kymi, and during the summer months, a beach bar operates, attracting more activity to the beach.

Many clubs and nature enthusiasts often decide to explore Thapsa Beach through hiking excursions, offering an alternative experience of the landscape and nature during the winter season.

The hiking trails lead visitors through the stunning landscape west of the Tsirloneri-Ortari wildlife refuge and the beach, offering stunning views of nature and the Aegean Sea. With the changing of the seasons, the beach transforms but retains its enchanting beauty and charm.

Nearby is also the Naftiko Beach, unfortunately accessible only to a few, as it can only be visited by boat. The location is unique as it is located at the steep end of the impressive lush mountain range. Its waters have wonderful colors, and the colorful pebbles add to the charm of the landscape.

Metochi beach

The beach of Metochi is a stunning destination located about 4.5 kilometers from the village of Metochi and approximately 30 kilometers or about an hour's drive from Kymi.

This beautiful beach is easily accessible via asphalt road and can be reached either from Kymi (south) or from Steni Dirfyos (north), offering amazing routes through pine forests with unique views. The beach faces the Aegean Sea and impresses with its unique beauty. Composed of sand and small and large pebbles with small tamarisk trees offering shade and coolness, while the waters are deep and transparent.

The surrounding mountains add a unique picturesque quality to the landscape, while in the background, the majestic rock emerges as a spectacular backdrop.

At the beach, you will find taverns and a snack bar with sun loungers for relaxation under the sun and by the sea.

Chiliadou beach

The beach of Chiliadou in Evia is a splendid Aegean seaside destination and is a reference point for Evia, as it has attracted those who love free camping for many years, despite its prohibition.

Primarily, it consists of the free beach, which hosts taverns, beach bars, and accommodations, followed by the nudist beach and finally by the remote beach of Damianos or Anemaki, with its impressive cave and hidden sandy cove, which, however, has difficult access via a rugged mountain path or by sea.

Facing north, Chiliadou is often exposed to strong winds. It is a beach with sand and pebbles of various sizes and is connected to the foothills of Mount Dirfys, presenting a spectacular landscape with clear waters. Vegetation around the beach is dense, with plane trees, chestnuts, and rushes surrounding a small river that flows into the sea.

Access to Chiliadou beach is possible either through a fantastic 28 km route or about an hour from the alpine village of Steni on Mount Dirfys, via an asphalt road, or as a continuation from the northern beaches of Kymi, Thapsa, and Metochi via a dirt road. The route from Kymi is unique through the lush mountain area overlooking the Aegean and is 39 km or about 1 hour.

A little further west of Chiliadou, we discover two more hidden gems nestled in the lush landscape where the mountain massif meets the Aegean. These are the beaches of Livadakia or Germanou and Kokkiniada. These Aegean beaches will enchant you with their azure waters and colorful pebbles, and it would be advisable to visit them when strong north winds are not blowing.

Due to their more challenging access, they are less crowded, but this makes them even more unique and secluded, offering a distinct experience to visitors seeking tranquility and ultimate relaxation.
